An effective agency.

Atlas was founded by people fluent in the entirety of the maritime industry. People who understand that good port agency is built on judgment, accountability, and presence, not call centers and ticket queues.

Our Story

ATLAS Maritime Agency

Atlas was established as an answer to pain points that have spawned from poor agency practices.

The industry has consolidated, outsourced, and deskilled. Crews wait longer, surveys read thinner, and owners get invoices no one on the vessel could actually reconcile. Atlas is the pushback; an agency with local people in local ports, a single standard, and the agency who stands at your sail-off.

How We Work

Four principles we don't bend on.

One agent, one file.

No handoffs. Our standard is that the agent who takes your nomination owns the port call end-to-end and signs the final DA.

Local, in every port.

We staff local offices in the ports we cover and do not believe a global call center meets the needs of any principal's best interests.

Itemized and transparent.

Every charge on the DA is traceable to a receipt. Pre-call proforma, in-call running tally, post-call final. No surprises or hidden fees.

Ready to serve - always.

24/7 operation. If you can reach a master at 03:00, you can reach us.

Frequent Questions

Straight answers.

Which ports do you cover directly?
We operate local offices in all of the Southeastern market. If you call a port outside our current markets and want our services positioned there, we have the capability to extend our footprint and place experienced agents there.
How does DA pricing work?
You get a fixed proforma DA at nomination, a running tally during the call, and a final itemised DA. Every charge is traceable to a receipt. If the final DA would run over proforma by more than a pre-agreed tolerance, we confirm with you before incurring the cost.
Can you handle urgent / same-day nominations?
Yes. Our 24/7 operation handles urgent nominations for casualty response, medical evacuations, and distressed vessels. For routine calls we prefer 72 hours lead time but can adapt to urgent requests.
Do you work with P&I clubs and class societies?
Regularly. Atlas works closely with P&I clubs and class societies on joint attendances, preserving evidence for claims, and delivering reports in the format your club or class surveyor expects.
Who do you work for?
Shipowners, operators, time charterers, voyage charterers, P&I clubs, H&M insurers, class societies, lawyers and loss adjusters. We don't work against the interest of the party who instructed us, and we disclose any conflict before we accept the file.
